2025 Playoff Rules and Policies

As we head into playoffs, please take note of the following important rules and protocols to ensure fair play and smooth operations across all divisions:

1.⁠ ⁠Playoff Player Qualification

    •    Division 1: Players must have 1 Game Played (GP) with the team.

    •    Divisions 2–6: Players must have 6 GP with their relevant team to be playoff eligible.

2.⁠ ⁠Emergency Playoff Subs

    •    If your team cannot field the minimum roster of 5 skaters + 1 goalie, you may request emergency subs.

    •    Subs must be call-ups or previously used spares who did not meet the 6 GP minimum.

    •    NO call-across (between same-division teams) or call-down players are permitted.

    •    All emergency subs must be pre-approved. Both League Management and your opponent reserve the right to deny any proposed sub if deemed an unfair replacement.

3.⁠ ⁠Goalie Substitutions

    •    Regular season goalie sub protocols remain in effect.

    •    As with player subs, both League Management and opponents may reject any goalie sub if not deemed a fair or comparable replacement.

4.⁠ ⁠Mandatory Playoff ID Checks

    •    All players must show valid photo ID to the scorekeeper or referees prior to every playoff game.

    •    Players are encouraged to show ID before entering the dressing room or during warm-up at the scorekeeper’s bench.

    •    Acceptable ID includes a photo or digital copy of a valid driver’s license or government-issued ID with name and photo visible.

    •    Any player or captain violating ID or roster rules will face an indefinite suspension, and the team will receive a forfeit, regardless of the game’s score at the time.

5.⁠ ⁠Playoff Format

    •    Double Elimination Bracket. Final two teams will play a Best-of-Three Championship Series.

    •    Warm-up: 5 minutes

    •    Periods: 17 minutes each half

    •    OT (if needed and as needed): 10 minutes stop-time

    •    Goalie Breaks: 1st whistle after the 9-minute mark of each half

6.⁠ ⁠Game Times & Scheduling

    •    Teams are expected to be ready to play at the scheduled game time.

    •    Delays may occur due to overtime – please be prepared.

    •    The full seeded playoff schedule is now posted. Review and plan accordingly to avoid confusion or no-shows.
